Summer is here and with that I'm all about a healthy mindset and healthy eating. Fresh, whole ingredients full of nutrients that leave me feeling energized while keeping my taste buds satisfied! I recently discovered "Mostly Plants - 101 Delicious Flexitarian Recipies from the Pollan Family" and am really impressed. The pictures are beautiful and the book is filled with well balanced, healthy meals that are easy to follow. The authors Tracy, Dana, Lori and Corky Pollan believe that what we eat affects our overall health and how we can improve our health is by eating more plant based meals.
This is not a book for vegetarians, in fact there are many recipies with meat and seafood. The flexitarian diet teaches you how to balance your meals better for optimal health using mostly plant based ingredients and focusing on flavor. The meals can also be adapted for most dietary needs such as gluten free, dairy free and vegan.
This amazing book has so many options for just about any lifestyle and they're all good for you! That's an A+ for me! If you're looking for a cookbook to help you on your journey to better health this is a great place to start.
